The epidemic shook the tourist season less than expected – show the latest data from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. From January to the end of August, Croatia recorded 41% of arrivals and 43% of overnight stays compared to the same period last year. The numbers are significantly better than expected. This result further improved in July and August, and Croatia had a more successful season than many competing countries. The leaders are the County of Istria, followed by the County of Primorje-Gorski Kotar and the County of Split-Dalmatia, and the most successful destinations are: Rovinj, Vir and Zadar. A total of 54% of the income level was achieved compared to 2019.
