A year after the earthquake in Banovina

Some people still live in inhumane conditions.

The process of reconstruction in the Banovina is very slow. So far, 1100 facilities that needed non-structural renovation have been renovated and about 400 facilities that are in the process of structural renovation. The construction of replacement family houses and apartment buildings is planned.

Reminder to the catastrophic earthquake on December 29, 2020. Sisak-Moslavina County was hit by devastating earthquake of 6.2 according to Richter. The earthquake in the vicinity of Sisak and Petrinja was felt by about 7 million inhabitants in the region on part of the European continent, and significant earthquakes were reported from 11 countries. The cities of Sisak, Petrinja and Glina suffered significant damage and human casualties.
