Kapela is the center of the municipality of the same name, which has 3,000 inhabitants, while the town of Kapela itself has approximately 500 inhabitants. It covers an area of 110 km2, with 26 settlements scattered across the hilly Bilogora terrain, which otherwise has a total of 120 kilometers of roads suitable for cycling or walking.
Not far from the center of Kapela is a large fishpond, where it is possible to fish and prepare them on the grill. Kapela is located 10 km from the city of Bjelovar, which is the center of Bjelovar-Bilogora County.
In the municipality of Kapela, family households are mainly engaged in the production of agricultural crops (corn, wheat, barley, etc.), livestock (breeding of cattle - bulls and heifers, raising poultry - broiler chickens and laying hens) and pig breeding.
