The Zagreb-Macelj highway celebrated its 20th anniversary on Thursday, October 10, 2024.
The Zagreb - Macelj highway with a total length of 59 kilometers is part of the Croatian highway network. It starts at the Jankomir intersection on the Bregana - Zagreb - Lipovac highway and ends in Maclje at the international border crossing to the Republic of Slovenia. The highway passes through the Zagreb and Krapina-Zagorje counties, and with appropriate management, maintenance and modernization, as well as the achieved high level of safety and comfort, it strives to make this traffic direction an important and attractive direction for the transport of both people and goods. In 2023, 9.5 million vehicles passed through it.
