The first autumn weekend in October is reserved for the Lošinj Half Marathon.
This unique athletic road race is being held for the 11th time. On Saturday, October 1st, in the center of Veli Lošinj, where the race starts and finishes, competitors from many countries will gather. They will run along Lošinj's 21 km long road paths, passing by the sea through the most beautiful parts of the island of Lošinj, the bays of Čikat and Sunny Bay. The trail connects Veli and Mali Lošinj. The race is in the competition system of the Croatian Association for Road and Mountain Running HUCIPT. You can choose between three race lengths:
- 21 km Lošinj half marathon with start and finish in the center of Veli Lošinj
- 10 km Apoksiomen Cup starting from the promenade below the Bellveue Hotel in Mali Lošinj
- 5 km recreational race starting in the center of Veli Lošinj
