In the central part of Bosnia and Herzegovina is located Mount Vlašić, whose highest peak reaches 1963 m above sea level. The Vlašić ski resort has 14 kilometers of groomed ski slopes and several kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails. Accommodation is available in several privately owned hotels, motels and apartments on Vlašić.
Skiing on Vlašić is accessible to everyone, and many have mastered the basics of skiing here because the slopes are not so demanding and steep, and the Babanovac I and II ski slopes are equipped with floodlights, so night skiing is also possible on certain days and times.
There are also several smaller ones in Jajce, Skender Vakuf, Teslić and Novi Travnik. The proximity of Split, Zagreb, Belgrade and Sarajevo makes Vlašić one of the most visited ski resorts in the region.
